They are primary care practitioners, and are trained in communication styles that foster collaboration with other members of the health care/wellness team.

  • No. You do not need a referral to book an appointment or to see a physiotherapists. There are some insurance companies that require a doctors note to cover your session. Please check with your own extended insurance to confirm

  • Physiotherapists can help you maintain your current active lifestyle, by ensuring you have the adequate skill set (stretches, exercises, etc) to compliment your activity needs! Injury prevention is key!

  • Yes. Physiotherapy (more specifically, a targeted exercise program) has been scientifically proven to decrease pain in people suffering from knee arthritis! Movement is key

  • This is movement-specific treatment that combines the skills of a physiotherapist with those of a kinesiologist or personal trainer. This is a team-based approach and ensures you get the most out of your workouts!

  • No.

    Active Rehab is supervised by a physiotherapist who has performed an assessment and who has developed a unique program based on your own needs (injury, prevention, sport-specific, etc). Your program is executed by a trained kinesiologist or personal trainer who meets regularly with your physiotherapist. Finally, you meet every 6-8 weeks with your physiotherapist for updates and program modifications.

  • If you are an active rehab client, you are able to use the gym and work on your program 1:1 with your assigned personal trainer or kinesiologist. You are not able to drop-in and work out on your own.
